Original Bird Art Auction to Help Bill Thompson, III

Marbled Murrelets, by British bird artist Darren Rees, graced the cover of the July/August 2017 issue of Bird Watcher’s Digest, and was accompanied by a fascinating story and profile of this species on the pages inside the issue. (Read the story here!)

Now, to help with the cancer-related expenses of BWD’s editor and co-publisher, Bill Thompson, III, Rees has donated the acrylic-on-panel piece for public auction. The signed painting is 11×15 inches, unframed, and comes with a signed statement of authenticity by the artist and a copy of the July/August 2017 issue of BWD!

Here’s your chance to preserve a pair of marbled murrelets—on the wall of your living room, perhaps! And in placing a bid on this original artwork, showing your support and love for Bill of the Birds. The full sum of the winning bid will be donated to Bill’s GoFundMe account. You can visit his page here: https://www.gofundme.com/helpbt3

PLACE YOUR BID BEFORE 11:59 PM EDT, APRIL 15, 2019. The artwork will be awarded to the highest bidder on that date.
