Green Friday Is Back in 2020!

Because of its great success in getting people outside and enjoying nature the day after Thanksgiving, we’ve decided to bring Green Friday back in 2020! In a time when social distancing is of utmost importance, this calmer alternative to fighting the crowds for Black Friday shopping just feels like the right thing to do this year.

Here’s owner Wendy Clark talking about this year’s Green Friday festivities:

Just like last year, we’re asking folks to go out birding on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Fly solo, bring along your household, or meet up with your “pandemic pod” or “quaranteam,” if you have one. Snap a selfie or take a video while you hold up a sign that says “#greenfriday.” Then head over to our Redstart Birding Facebook page and post your masterpiece: https://www.facebook.com/RedstartBirding.

We’ll select one winner to receive a free Steiner HX 8×42 binocular. By simply participating, you’ll be building the community and showing off your dedication to birding over Black Friday bluster.

And don’t worry—we still have some fantastic optics deals to offer. (Click here to check them out!)

Our hard-working staff will be taking November 27 off for our own rest, relaxation, and recreation, but you can send an offline message through our chat platform, send an email to sales@redstartbirding.com, or leave a voicemail at 833-262-1568. We’ll get back to you when we return to our stations on Cyber Monday!

We hope to see your #greenfriday selfies on Facebook this year. Happy birding!
